# Customers

**Customers** are the heart of your commercial operation.
In Sarah you can store their data, view purchase history, analyze payment punctuality, and set how much credit to extend to each customer.

## Create a new customer

You can create customers from:

- The **Contacts** module.
- **POS**, when associating a buyer to a sale.
- Public forms or integrations (according to configuration).

Recommended fields:

- Name / legal name.
- Document / Tax ID (CUIT).
- Phone and email.
- Address and city.
- Customer type (retail, wholesale, etc.).

## Purchase history

Each time you record a sale associated with a customer:

- The operation is linked to that contact.
- You can consult the **purchase history**, with dates, amounts, and issued receipts.

This allows you to:

- Identify your best customers.
- Detect periods of inactivity.
- Offer promotions or special conditions.

## Credit score and credit

On the customer detail page (`Contacts` → customer) you get a credit panel with:

- A **credit score** (0–100) from collection punctuality, debt, history, and recent activity.
- **Payment terms** (default 30 days, editable per customer) to mark invoices on time or late.
- A **suggested credit limit**, which you can override manually.
- **Available credit** = effective limit − current debt.
- Purchase chart, debt aging, top products, and invoices vs days to collect.

### How to enable credit

1. Be on the **Pro plan**.
2. Open a contact typed as **customer**.
3. Under **Credit & terms**, enter a **credit limit** and save.
4. In **POS**, select that customer: the **Credit / Club** button shows available credit, debt, and score.

Without a saved limit, credit does not appear in POS (score and analytics still show on the contact page).
Credit in the register is **informational** today: it guides the cashier and does not block the sale.

Available only for contacts typed as **customer** (not leads or suppliers). On the Basic plan you see a blurred preview inviting you to Pro.
The score helps you decide how much credit to allow (80–100 excellent, 60–79 good, 40–59 fair, under 40 risk).

## Price lists and commercial conditions

From the Contacts or Price Lists module you can:

- Assign a **default price list** to each customer.
- Establish special conditions (payment terms, discounts, etc.).

When using POS:

- The system will automatically apply the price list configured for that customer.
