# Inventory Management

Control your stock efficiently with Sarah's inventory system.
This module connects products, warehouses, movements, and price lists so you always know **what you have, where you have it, and at what price you sell it**.

## Features

### Product Management

Create and edit products with all necessary information:
- Name and description
- SKU and barcode
- Prices and costs
- Categories

You can also:

- Define if a product is enabled for sale or only for internal control.
- Associate photos and descriptions designed for the online store.

### Stock Control

- Real-time stock
- Multiple warehouses
- Low stock alerts
- Movement history

Sarah records stock movements generated by:

- Sales in POS.
- Sales from the online store.
- Merchandise receiving.
- Transfers between warehouses.

### Bulk Import

Import products from Excel or CSV files.

Bulk import is ideal when:

- You're migrating from another system.
- You need to update prices for many products at once.

### Price Lists

Create multiple price lists for different customers or situations.

For example:

- Retail list.
- Wholesale list.
- Special list for online store.

Each customer can have an associated default price list.

### Categorization

Organize your products into categories and subcategories.

## Next Steps

To make the most of the inventory module:

1. Review the **Product Management** guide (`products.md`).
2. Configure your **warehouses** (`deposits.md`) and define where stock is stored.
3. Learn to record **merchandise receiving** (`receiving.md`) and **transfers** (`transfers.md`).
4. If you work with large volumes, use **bulk import** (`bulk-import.md`).

It's also recommended to learn how to [manage contacts](/docs/contacts/overview) to link your products to customers and suppliers.
