# Transfers between Warehouses

When your company has more than one warehouse (for example, a central warehouse and several branches), you'll need to **move stock between locations**.

Transfers in Sarah:

- Record the **exit** from an origin warehouse.
- Record the **entry** in the destination warehouse.
- Leave a clear **history** of what was moved, when, and who did it.

## Create a transfer

1. Go to the **Inventory** module and select **Transfers**.
2. Click **"New transfer"**.
3. Select:
   - **Origin warehouse**.
   - **Destination warehouse**.
4. Add products and quantities you want to move.
5. Review the summary and confirm.

Upon confirmation:

- Stock is deducted from the origin warehouse.
- The same stock is added to the destination warehouse.
- Movements are generated in inventory history.

## Best practices

- Clearly define which user is responsible for recording transfers.
- Perform periodic audits comparing physical stock with system stock.
- Use descriptions or references in the transfer to know the reason (restocking, temporary transfer, etc.).
