# Customer Selection and Management in POS

Although you can sell without associating a customer, **linking sales to contacts** allows you to:

- Issue A/B invoices with correct fiscal data.
- Keep purchase history per customer.
- Apply special price lists or differentiated commercial conditions.

## Select an existing customer

1. On the POS screen, click **"Select customer"**.
2. Search by:
   - Name or legal name.
   - Document / Tax ID (CUIT).
   - Email or phone (according to configuration).
3. Select the customer from the results list.

Once selected:

- The customer is associated with the current sale.
- The **price list** assigned to that contact will be applied, if applicable.
- The suggested receipt type may change according to their fiscal condition.

## Create a new customer from POS

When the customer doesn't exist yet:

1. From the customer selector, choose the **"Create new customer"** option.
2. Complete minimum data:
   - Name / legal name.
   - Contact data (email, phone).
   - Fiscal condition (if applicable).
3. Save the new contact.
4. POS will automatically associate it with the current sale.

> Required and optional fields may vary according to your company's configuration.

## Change the customer of an ongoing sale

If you selected an incorrect customer:

1. Open the customer panel in the current sale.
2. Click **"Change customer"**.
3. Select the correct contact or create a new one.

While the sale hasn't been collected, you can freely change the associated customer.

## Relationship with Contacts module

All customer information created or edited from POS is also saved in the general **Contacts** module.
From there you can:

- View purchase history.
- Update fiscal data.
- Assign price lists, payment terms, or other advanced attributes.

Complete module documentation is in the
**Features · Contacts** section.
