# Multiple Sales in Parallel

Sarah's POS allows you to work with **multiple sales open in parallel**, each in its own tab.
This is especially useful in businesses with high turnover or when more than one customer takes time to decide.

## How do sale tabs work?

- Each tab represents an **ongoing sale**.
- You can switch from one tab to another without losing loaded products.
- The system preserves:
  - Products in cart.
  - Selected customer (if any).
  - Applied discounts and promotions.

## Create a new sale

1. From the main POS screen, click **"New sale"** (or the equivalent button in your interface).
2. A new empty tab will open.
3. Start loading products and follow the usual collection flow.

You can repeat this process to open as many simultaneous sales as your operation requires.

## Switch between open sales

- Click on the corresponding tab to switch sales.
- You'll immediately see the cart and information for that operation.

This allows you, for example, to:

- Pause a sale while the customer goes to get an additional product.
- Serve another quick customer without losing the previous one's context.

## Close a sale

When you complete collection:

1. The sale is marked as **completed**.
2. The tab closes automatically (or remains available for a new sale, according to configuration).
3. Stock and cash register are updated accordingly.

## Operational recommendations

- Avoid leaving tabs open for long periods unnecessarily to maintain operational control.
- Ensure each user knows how to correctly identify the tab of the customer they're serving.
- Use names or quick references (when the interface allows) to distinguish special sales.
