Basic Fields

Name

A descriptive name to easily identify the list.

By Value

Example:

  • Base price: $1000

  • Final price: $900

When to use:

  • Fixed discounts on specific amounts
  • Fixed surcharges for services
  • Uniform adjustments independent of base price

By Percentage

Example:

  • Base price: $1000
  • Adjustment: -15%
  • Final price: $850

When to use:

  • Proportional discounts
  • Percentage increases
  • Adjustments that should scale with price

Percentage / Value

According to selected type, enter:

  • By Value: The fixed amount (can be negative for discounts)
  • By Percentage: The percentage (can be negative for discounts)

Note: Negative values represent discounts, positive values represent increases.

Best Practices

Nomenclature

Use consistent and descriptive names:

Good examples:

  • "Wholesale -15%"
  • "Online Discount"
  • "VIP Premium"

Avoid:

  • "List 1"
  • "New list"
  • Generic names without context

Organization

Create lists with clear purposes:

  • One list per customer type (wholesale, retail, VIP)
  • One list per channel (POS, online)
  • Temporary lists for specific events

Testing

Before using a list in production:

  1. Create a test sale with a test customer
  2. Verify prices to ensure adjustment is correct
  3. Review totals to confirm calculations are accurate

Integration with Other Modules

Promotions

Price lists are applied before promotions:

  1. Price list is applied (adjusts base price)
  2. Promotions are applied (on already adjusted price)

POS

At point of sale:

  • If you select a customer with assigned list, prices update automatically
  • You can manually change the active list if necessary
  • Displayed prices reflect the active list
