Introduction to Promotions

Learn how Sarah's promotions system works and how it can help you increase your sales.

Last updated: 2025-01-26

Sarah's promotions system allows you to create and manage automatic offers that apply directly at the point of sale, helping you increase sales and retain customers.

What are Promotions?

Promotions are business rules that apply automatically when certain conditions are met in a sale. For example:

  • "Buy 2, Get 1" (Buy X Get Y)
  • 20% discount on selected products
  • Discount on the 3rd product of a category
  • Fixed price for product combos

Main Features

Automatic Application

Promotions apply automatically in POS when configured conditions are met. You don't need to remember to apply discounts manually.

Multiple Promotion Types

Sarah supports different types of promotions:

  • Buy X Get Y: Buy X products, pay for Y (e.g., 2x1, 3x2)
  • Discount on Nth: Discount applied to 2nd, 3rd, etc. product
  • Percentage Discount: Percentage discount on selected products
  • Fixed Price for Combos: Special price for product groups

Stackable Promotions

You can configure promotions that can be combined with each other, allowing a customer to get multiple benefits in the same purchase.

Prioritization

Each promotion has a priority. If there are conflicts, the promotion with higher priority is applied first.

Target Filters

You can target promotions to:

  • All products
  • Specific products
  • Complete categories
  • Specific brands

Validity Dates

Configure start and end dates so promotions activate and deactivate automatically.

Channels

You can limit promotions to certain sales channels (POS, online store, etc.).

How It Works

  1. Create a promotion with its conditions and configuration
  2. The promotion is evaluated automatically when products are added to cart
  3. Discounts are applied as new lines in the sale
  4. The customer sees the savings clearly on the receipt

Benefits

  • Increase sales with attractive offers
  • Reduce errors when applying discounts manually
  • Save time at the point of sale
  • Improve customer experience
  • Retain customers with personalized offers
