How to create, edit, and organize products in Sarah's catalog.

Last updated: 2026-06-11

Products are the foundation of your inventory. Each sale, stock movement, and report relies on the catalog being well configured.

Main product fields

When creating or editing a product, you can define:

  • Name: how it will be displayed in POS and store.
  • Description: extended information for internal use or online store.
  • SKU / Internal code: unique identifier for your operation.
  • Barcode: for use with scanner in POS.
  • Base price and cost.
  • Profit margin: profitability reference over cost.
  • Category: to group products.
  • Dimensions (weight, height, length, width): useful for shipping and integrations.
  • Store featured and Store sort order: control visibility and position in the online store (see Store products).
  • Enabled / disabled status for sale.

Create a new product

  1. Go to the Products module from the main menu.
  2. Click "New product".
  3. Complete required fields (name, price, etc.).
  4. Assign category and, if applicable, barcode.
  5. Save changes.

The product will be available in:

  • POS to make sales.
  • Online store, if the company has it enabled and the product is marked to be shown there.

Edit existing products

To update prices, descriptions, or categories:

  1. Search for the product in the list.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Make necessary changes (price, category, enabled, etc.).
  4. Save.

Changes will automatically reflect in POS and reports.

Enable / disable products

Instead of deleting products that already have historical movements, it's recommended to:

  • Disable them when they're no longer sold.

This way:

  • They continue appearing in historical reports.
  • They stop being available for new sales.

Label printing

From Inventory > Products, the Labels button opens the print modal:

Formats

  • A4: configurable grid of columns and rows.
  • Thermal rolls: 80 mm and 57 mm.

Content options

Choose what to show on each label:

  • Price (primary and secondary list).
  • Brand, description, barcode.
  • VAT on label: configurable percentage independent of billing VAT (useful for shelf display).
  • Promotional price and promotion badge.

Quick load

  • All: add all products.
  • Recent price update: products with a recent price change.
  • With promotion: products with an active promotion.
