Warehouses and Stock

Sarah allows you to manage multiple warehouses per company (branch, central warehouse, store, etc.).
Each inventory movement is always recorded against a specific warehouse.

Create and configure warehouses

1. Go to the Warehouses module from the main menu.
2. Click "New warehouse".
3. Define:
   • Warehouse name (e.g., "Central Warehouse", "Palermo Store").
   • Address or location reference.
4. Save changes.

Stock by warehouse

Each product's stock is stored in the product_deposit relationship table, which allows:

• View how many units there are per product in each warehouse.
• Differentiate physical stock by location.

In the interface you can:

• View total stock of a product.
• Break down stock by warehouse.

Default warehouse

In many operations (for example, sales from a POS associated with a branch) there's a default warehouse:

• Sales deduct stock from that warehouse once, when the sale is completed.
• Editing a completed sale in Sales (date, total, customer) does not deduct again. Changing lines on a completed sale does not auto-adjust stock.
• Receiving and transfers are done relative to it, unless another is specified.

Review your company's configuration to see which warehouse is used by default in each point of sale.
