Inventory Movement History

Movement history allows you to see everything that has happened with your products' stock:

  • Entries (receiving, positive adjustments).
  • Exits (sales, returns, negative adjustments).
  • Transfers between warehouses.

Access history

  1. Go to the Inventory module.
  2. Select the "Movements" option or similar.
  3. Use filters for:
    • Date range.
    • Product.
    • Warehouse.
    • Movement type (entry/exit/transfer).

Information available per movement

Each record usually includes:

  • Date and time.
  • Movement type (receiving, sale, return, transfer, adjustment).
  • Product and quantity.
  • Origin and destination warehouse (if applicable).
  • User who executed the action.
  • Reference to associated document (sale, invoice, etc.).

Use in audits

History is key for:

  • Investigating stock discrepancies.
  • Validating that receiving and sales were recorded correctly.
  • Reviewing who made each movement and when.

For periodic audits:

  1. Export history to CSV/Excel (if the option is available).
  2. Compare with physical counts or external systems.
  3. Correct discrepancies through documented stock adjustments.
